Ketek Industries Ltd. (Ketek) was founded in 1979 by a Canadian entrepreneur, Rick Abel. In the early years Ketek operated in partnership with Rose-Del's Trucking Ltd. Ketek was primarily a renter of incinerators for local clients in Alberta.
Ketek quickly developed into a full service, oilfield surface support equipment rental company. Ketek built its name on fairness, reliability, and quality.
In the spring of 1981 with the projected reduction of oilfield activity in Canada, the company decided to establish a subsidiary in Casper, Wyoming. The subsidiary, Ketek Industries Inc., operated for approximately one year before closing for economic reasons.
Vern Abel joined Ketek in June 1984 as sales manager, bringing a vast amount of experience in oilfield sales and service to the company. In 1995, after the passing of Vern, Richard Lee Abel joined the company as Operations Manager.
Ketek has been able to maintain a stable operation over the past decades because of an extensive maintenance and service policy which has become the industry standard since it was introduced by Ketek back in 1979.
In January 2011, Ketek strengthened its capabilities via an amalgamation that resulted in the new operating body of Ketek Group Inc. Clients will now be provided the same quality and reliable equipment via Ketek Rentals, a member of Ketek Group Inc. This amalgamation has elevated our equipment and service representative pools to the next level.
Today, Ketek Rentals has diversified into additional rental streams to continue to serve our clients equipment and service requirements. Ketek Rentals continues to provide equipment such as pumps, tanks, power generation, dryer systems, incinerators, misc. buildings, etc.
In the future we will continue to innovate, excel, and deliver. We work hard to reduce the ‘headaches’ of our clients. Let us be the answer to your oilfield surface support equipment needs.
